VANCOUVER Police are asking for witnesses and anyone with information about Wednesday night’s shooting downtown to call police.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired near Homer Street and West Pender Street at around 7:50 p.m. on April 3. When officers arrived, they found a 46-year-old man had been shot. He was taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
“The investigation is still in its early stages, so what transpired between the suspect and the victim leading up to the shooting is still being confirmed,” said Constable Tania Visintin on Thursday. “There is no reason to believe this incident is related to the BC Gang Conflict, nor is it connected to any other serious investigations going on in the city.”
No arrests have been made.
Anyone who witnessed this shooting, or anyone with information, is asked to call VPD’s Major Crime Section at 604-717-2541.
