AT 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, New Westminster Police were called to the 400-block of Carnarvon Street where they located a woman who had been stabbed.

Officers rushed to provide life-saving aid before the victim was transported to a local area hospital by BC Emergency Health Services paramedics. At this time, it is believed the public is not at an increased risk, police said.

“This incident remains under investigation,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “Officers are in the evidence gathering stage.”
