ONE 15-year-old female student of Delview Secondary at 90th Avenue and 116th Street in North Delta is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries while Delta Police have another 15-year-old female student in custody following a fight between the two outside on school grounds.
Police said they responded to a call about the fight at 2:20 p.m. In the course of the fight, one of the girls produced a knife and stabbed the other one in the arm.
Police said: “The parents of the students involved have been notified of the incident. Police are satisfied there is no further risk to students at the school.
“The Delta School Board is working with us while we continue our investigation into this matter and has stated that “safety is our main priority and all of our staff work hard to ensure we provide safe and supportive learning environments for all students.””
The matter continues to be under investigation.
