ABBOTSFORD Police say the driver of a high-powered sports car has found his vehicle in an impound lot after he was pulled over going 80 km over the speed limit on Tuesday night.

The driver of the Corvette was travelling at 160 km/hr in a posted 80km/hr zone along Highway 11 at Valley Road. The 26-year-old driver was issued a ticket for excessive speed over 60km/hr, and the Corvette was impounded.

Police warn that excessive speeders face mandatory seven-day vehicle impoundments and hefty fines. So far in 2026, Abbotsford Police have removed 223 excessive speeders from local roadways. “Road Safety continues to be a priority for us,” say police.
