THE 319th Vaisakhi celebrations in the Greater Toronto Area take place on Sunday, May 6 from 1 to 6:30 p.m.
Vaisakhi is the day the Khalsa was initiated and is a very important day for Sikhs around the world. Every year over 100,000 Sikhs from across Ontario attend this event.
The celebrations will start at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Malton, 7280 Airport Road, Mississauga, and conclude at Sikh Spiritual Centre, 9 Carrier Drive, Toronto.
A ceremony will be held between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Malton and between 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Sikh Spiritual Centre.
All members of the community are welcome to participate in the parade.
