ON Sunday, September 14 at 12:20 p.m., Delta Police were called to the intersection of 116 Street and 77A Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle serious collision. Despite efforts from the Delta Fire Department and BC Paramedics, a 69-year-old female passenger passed away as a result of the collision.

Delta Police Collision Analysts have been called to the scene. Impairment does not appear to be a factor. The investigation is ongoing. Police said 116 Street will be closed between 75A Avenue and 80 Avenue for the next several hours and requested drivers to use an alternate route and avoid the area.
