SURREY RCMP are investigating a motor vehicle collision that sent a pedestrian to hospital.
On Monday, October 28 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in the area of 188 Street and 60 Avenue. Officers located a male pedestrian who was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The vehicle involved, an Audi Q3, remained on scene.
Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in this collision. The driver was arrested for dangerous operation causing bodily harm and served with a 24-hour driving prohibition. The driver was later released without charges pending further investigation and their vehicle was impounded.
The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) was called in to assist and the investigation is ongoing.
