ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have arrested a man in connection to a series of retail robberies in Brampton.
Between August 14 and August 24, the suspect allegedly targeted five retail establishments in Brampton. In each incident, the suspect entered the business, brandished a large knife, and demanded money.
As a result of the investigation, Teepinder Singh Ghuman, a 22-year-old man from Brampton, was identified and arrested on August 29.
Ghuman was charged with:
- Robbery (five counts)
- Disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence (six counts)
- Attempt to commit an indictable offence
Ghuman was held for a bail hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
