BC Conservative Leader Lorne Doerkson in a swift move kicked out his party’s Victoria-Beacon Hill candidate Joachim Agou for his hateful comments.
The BC NDP said on Thursday morning that Agou attacked the Pakistani community as “a shithole,” said a car that drove through a group of protesters “should have reversed” through them too. He also celebrated white supremacist politicians, including Geert Wilders, who has described Islam as “the ideology of a retarded culture.”
B.C. NDP candidate Amna Shah had called on Doerkson to fire the candidate on social media here.
Doerkson said: “There is no excuse for this. I will not tolerate it. The candidate in Victoria-Beacon Hill is no longer a Conservative candidate. If elected, he will not serve in the Caucus.”
