Abbotsford fatal pedestrian-involved collision

ABBOTSFORD Emergency Services responded to a collision involving a pedestrian in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 between Whatcom Road and No. 3 Road exit on Wednesday, November 3 at 7:47 p.m.
Emergency service workers located a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries. Abbotsford Police are currently confirming the identity of the deceased and have no further details.
The driver involved in the collision remained on the scene and is cooperating with this investigation.
The Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team, police investigators and the B.C. Coroners Service continue their investigation. Highway 1 is currently closed eastbound between Whatcom Road and No. 3 Road exit.

Abbotsford Police will provide an update on their social media once the highway reopens.
