ABBOTSFORD police are looking for a South Asian male following a sexual assault on Monday, July 14 just after 11 a.m.

Police say an 18-year-old woman was working outside in a parking lot in the 31700 block of Peardonville Road when a man approached her and engaged her in conversation.  The man then suddenly grabbed the victim by wrapping an arm around her body. She was able to break free by pushing the male away. Police were contacted once she had safely fled the area.

The suspect is described as a South Asian male, 40-50 years of age, 5’ 7”, clean shaven, with short black hair, a large nose, and a heavy build with a large belly (see composite sketch).  At the time of the assault the suspect was wearing a red and brown collared short sleeved shirt, long pants, and black shoes.
