ON Tuesday, April 11 at approximately 9:28 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing incident in the 9900-block of King George Boulevard.
Officers located a male suffering from a stab injury who was transported to hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigation has revealed that an altercation occurred between two individuals riding a Coast Mountain Bus, resulting in the male victim being stabbed.
Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and are speaking with several witnesses to obtain further information.
The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this incident is not related to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict, police said.
Southbound lanes on King George Boulevard from 100 Avenue to 98A Avenue are currently closed for an undermined amount of time, and travellers are asked to use alternate routes.
