BC Conservative critics focus on education, technology and economy “to counter Trump tariffs”

WESTERN Community College and the Surrey Health and Technology District hosted a very informative meeting in Surrey with BC Conservative critics. The event fostered an engaging dialogue focused on the transformative potential of education, specifically private education, and technology in advancing British Columbia’s economic growth.
Education and transportation are critical drivers of economic development, enhancing productivity, efficiency, and access to opportunities. The discussion emphasized the strategic role of Surrey’s Health and Technology District in fostering innovation and its impact on the province’s economy.
“Together, we provided key strategic pathways on how education, technology skills training, and innovation can counter Trump tariffs and focus on productivity for BC’s economy,” said Anita Huberman, Board Chair, Chief Global Public Affairs Officer.
