THE BC-India Business Network (BC-IBN) in partnership with the Consulate General of India in Vancouver hosted the Education and Skills Summit on July 15.
Consul General Masakui Rungsung presented compelling insights into educational opportunities of collaboration between educational institutions / universities of India and Canada, inviting Canadian universities to explore talent partnerships.
Additionally, he highlighted the rich tapestry of Indian tribal arts, culture, handicrafts, and farming alongside Canada’s First Nations, encouraging collaboration in these sectors. Key focus areas included talent partnerships, support for small and midsize enterprises (SMEs), and empowering women entrepreneurs.
Education Minister Rachna Singh and Parliamentary Secretary for International Credentials Ravi Parmar shared their insights at the Summit. The program saw participation from representatives from BC universities and colleges and members of BC-IBN.
