The BC Lions (9-4) host the Saskatchewan Roughriders (8-5) on Tonight, October 4th at 7:00 pm presented by Budweiser.
Following two consecutive road wins in Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, respectively, the Leos now have sole claim on second place in the West, as well as a clinched playoff berth. The Lions returns to BC Place tonight, and will look to widen the gap between them and the third placed Riders in hopes of securing a home playoff game for the third consecutive year. The Saskatchewan Roughriders (8-5) will look to end a four game slide.
This will be the second of three regular season meetings between the Roughriders and Lions with the final contest taking place October 19th in Regina. The Lions took the first game 24-22 on Sept. 22nd at Mosaic Stadium.
The Green and White will be kick-started by the return of CFL rushing leader Kory Sheets who has missed the previous two games due to injury. The game will see the all-time receptions and yards leader Geroy Simon play his first game in BC Place since being acquired by the Riders from the Lions prior to the 2013 season.
All the fun starts at 5:00 pm on the Terry Fox Plaza with the BC Lions Street Party presented by Nissan. In addition to balloon figures, the Lions inflatable, face painting, poster making, interactive games and a performance by the 2013 Felions, fans will also be treated to great music.
Back by popular demand, the team will once again don their third jerseys for tonight’s clash against Saskatchewan. Fans will be in for a treat as the huge West Division match-up will feature “blacked-out player introductions.”
Everyone coming to the game is encouraged to be in their seats by 6:45 pm before the in-stadium lights go out!
