TORONTO: Sundeep Sandhu, a partner at Blaney McMurtry LLP in Toronto, has been elected North American President of the South Asian Bar Association (SABA), headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA.
Sandhu most recently served as SABA North America’s president-elect, secretary and Advocacy Committee member. She first joined SABA’s Toronto Chapter in 2007, holding various Board of Directors positions, most recently as the chapter’s vice president.
Called to the Bar of Ontario in 2007, she practices corporate and commercial law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, financing and corporate reorganizations. She advises a range of public and private clients from small entrepreneurial companies to larger institutions across various industries including aerospace, software, advertising, manufacturing and consulting. Sandhu was designated a Lexpert ‘Rising Star’ in 2015 and is currently the Chair of Blaney McMurtry’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Sandhu received her LLB from the University of Windsor and has a BA in Public Policy and Administration from York University.
