THE Boundary Bay Airshow returns to the skies of Delta on July 16.
The City of Delta, in partnership with Alpha Aviation, is bringing the acclaimed airshow back to Boundary Bay Airport. The airshow last took place in 2019, thrilling audiences with stunning aerobatic maneuvers from some of the most exciting pilots and aerial acts in North America.
Delta Mayor George V. Harvie said on Thursday: “We are so pleased to be able to have the airshow back this summer in Delta; it has long been a staple of summer fun in the community. I look forward to seeing the incredible acts and appreciating the thrill of aviation together with the community.”
The family-friendly event features the incredible stunts of:
- accomplished pilot, skydiver, aerobatic performer and air racer Vicky Benzing flying her Boeing Stearman;
- the trio of the Northern Stars Aerobatic Team;
- Yellow Thunder Harvard Aerobatic Team; and
- Brad Wursten in the powerful MXS-R aerobatic aircraft.
Static aviation displays and Family Fun Zone will round out the afternoon of family and community fun.
Melissa Sayers, President, Alpha Aviation said: “On behalf of Fred Kaiser and the Alpha Aviation team, we are beyond excited to have the Airshow back this year. We hope this free community event brings you and your families out for a day full of celebrating the spirit of aviation! We look forward to seeing you all.”
