Brampton will celebrate Sikh Heritage Month at City Hall

ON Saturday, April 27, the City of Brampton will host its annual Sikh Heritage Month reception from 5:30  to 7 p.m. in the City Hall atrium.

The reception’s notable speakers will include Mayor Patrick Brown, Regional Councillor Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, City Councillor Harkirat Singh, and will be immediately followed by the Ontario Sikh Heritage Month Foundation’s closing ceremony.

All residents are invited to attend and sample traditional vegetarian cuisine, mingle and network, enjoy live entertainment, cultural information booths, an artist marketplace, and more.

“Our city is one of the most diverse cities in the world, and with Ontario celebrating April as Sikh Heritage Month across the province, it is only fitting we have our reception and closing ceremony in Brampton.” said Councillor Dhillon. “I encourage everyone to attend to celebrate and learn more about the Sikh community”
