ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police announced on Sunday that they have made an arrest in a conspiracy to commit an indictable offence investigation that occurred in Brampton.
On Saturday, December 27, at approximately 1 a.m., the victim exited a transit bus in the area of Chinguacousy Road and Drinkwater Road and was followed by an unknown individual. The suspect allegedly approached the victim and uttered he was in possession of a firearm.
The victim contacted police and officers located the accused a short distance away. During this interaction, the accused produced an imitation firearm and threw it into a snowbank.
As a result, Jagdeep Singh, a 20-year-old male from Brampton, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
Imitation firearm.

Singh was held pending a bail hearing.
