Bryce Dallas Campbell, 25, of Surrey charged in homicides of Jordan Krishna and Robeen Soreni

BRYCE Dallas Campbell, 25, of Surrey has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the homicides of Jordan Krishna, 19, and Robeen Soreni, 20, on July 30 in Surrey.

He has also been charged with one count of attempted murder in connection with Harbir Khosa, 26.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) made the arrest and charges were laid in consultation with the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS).

On July 30 at 2:45 p.m., police received reports of a shooting at the South Surrey Athletic Park, located at 14600 20 Avenue. Surrey RCMP first responders attended the location and found Jordan Krishna, Robeen Soreni and Harbir Khosa, all suffering from gunshot wounds, in what was believed to be a targeted incident.

Krishna and Soreni died as a result of their injuries, while Khosa was treated for life-threatening injuries.

IHIT took conduct of the investigation and worked closely in partnership with the Surrey RCMP, BC Coroners Service, the RCMP Forensic Identification Section and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC).

On August 5, Campbell was arrested in relation to the homicides. Search warrants were obtained by IHIT investigators for multiple locations throughout the Lower Mainland, which resulted in evidence being recovered.

At the time, IHIT said that Khosa and Krishna were both known to police.

Homicide investigators confirmed that this shooting was a single, targeted incident confined to the parking lot and around a 2010 black BMW X5. The black BMW X5 was associated to all three victims.

Homicide investigators determined that there was a single suspect shooter who fled on foot away from the black BMW X5. The suspect was described as a male wearing a dark hooded sweater, beige pants, and dark coloured baseball hat.

“We’ve established a timeline with the black BMW X5 arriving in the park around 2:27 p.m. and the shooting taking place right after,” said IHIT Sgt. David Lee on August 5. “The shooter then fled on foot in a western direction out of the park.”

On August 22, two charges of second-degree murder and one charge of attempted murder were laid against Campbell, who remained in custody following his arrest on August 5.

“This was a complex investigation that came together as a result of the dedication of IHIT’s investigating team and the strong partnerships with the Surrey [RCMP], CFSEU BC and the public. We are aware of the public concern regarding the recent daytime shootings. We are grateful that no innocent bystanders were injured during the incident,” said IHIT Sgt. Timothy Pierotti.

“Though charges have been laid, the investigation continues and we still urge anyone with information to come forward.”

IHIT is asking that any witnesses or anyone with dash camera video who attended the area of the South Surrey Athletic Park between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on July 30, or anyone who has any information regarding the shooting, to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
