Burnaby RCMP identify suspect in April 19 road rage incident

BURNABY RCMP announced on Wednesday that they have now identified a suspect in the April 19 road rage incident in which a suspect allegedly threatened another driver with a knife.

On April 19, Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report from a victim who had allegedly been verbally threatened by another driver. The suspect also allegedly made gestures with a knife during the encounter. The incident occurred on Boundary Road, near Grandview Highway.

The victim was able to obtain some photos before the suspect fled the area. There were also two passengers in the victim’s vehicle. At one point the suspect was close enough to attempt to open the passenger side door of the victim’s vehicle from his own seat several times, before producing a knife and making threatening comments.

On June 17, police released the suspect’s photos, saying that they had taken several investigational steps but were now asking for the public’s assistance.
