CANADA Post announced on Wednesday that its yellow delivery service alerts are no longer in place for the following areas, with delivery resuming back to normal:
- Burnaby (issued on Feb. 28)
- New Westminster (issued on Feb. 28)
- Fraser Valley (specifically Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Maple Ridge and Mission) (issued on Feb. 27)
- City of Vancouver (issued on Feb. 27)
- Parksville (issued on Feb. 24)
- Port Alberni (issued on Feb. 24)
The red delivery service alerts issued on Tuesday for the locations mentioned below have now been upgraded to a yellow delivery service alert. This means that Canada Post is going to do its best to deliver, but there may be delays.
- Delta
- Duncan
- Langley
- North Vancouver
- South Vancouver
- Surrey
- White Rock
The following communities remain under a yellow delivery service alert:
- Bowen Island (issued on Feb. 28)
- Pemberton (issued on Feb. 28)
- Squamish (issued on Feb. 28)
- Whistler (issued on Feb. 28)
- Coquitlam (issued on Feb. 27)
- Port Coquitlam (issued on Feb. 27)
- Port Moody (issued on Feb. 27)
- East Vancouver Island (issued on Feb. 23)
In the meantime, Canada Post says it encourages customers to clear the ice from their walkways, stairs, and driveways, to ensure safe access to the front door for both their visitors, as well as their mail carriers, when service resumes.
