Delta Police seek witnesses, dash camera video in connection to serious collision

A single-car crash last week closed Kittson Parkway in North Delta for several hours and seriously injured two passengers of that car.

On Wednesday, October 25 at approximately 12:30 a.m., a car travelling westbound on Kittson Parkway lost control, left the road and crashed into trees on the eastbound side of the 11000-block of Kittson Parkway. Two rear passengers in the car received serious, life-altering injuries. The driver fled the area prior to any first responder attendance.

Investigators are now asking any independent witnesses to this collision, or pre-collision driving behaviour, to contact investigators to assist in the investigation. Additionally, if there were any dash-camera-equipped cars in the area, investigators would like to review the videos.

The car involved in the collision is a grey 2003 Acura RSX. Acting Staff-Sgt. Michael Whiteley said: “The amount of damage, the seriousness of the injuries as a result of the collision, and the fact that the driver fled the scene, are all significant reasons that investigators wish to identify the driver and compel this person to court.”

If you witnessed this collision, have dash camera video from October 25 at 12:30 a.m. from the area, or if you have information regarding the identity of the driver, you are requested to contact Constable Jason Guest of the Delta Police Traffic Section, at (604) 946-4411 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and quote file number 2023-25080.
