Doug Ford wins third consecutive majority in Ontario

ONTARIO Premier Doug Ford and his Progressive Conservatives won a third straight majority government on Thursday.

With 8,073 of 8,079 polls reporting by 10 p.m. PT, the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario had won or was leading in 80 ridings with 2,158,452 votes (42.97%), the Ontario NDP had won or was leading in 27 seats with 931,796 votes (18.55%), while the Ontario Liberal Party had won or was leading in 14 seats only in spite of winning     1,504,688 votes (29.95%).

The Green Party of Ontario got two seats and an independent bagged one seat, according to unofficial results.

Brampton West: Amarjot Sandhu

Mississauga-Streetsville: Nina Tangri

Scarborough Rouge Park: Vijay Thanigasalam

Liberals:

Don Valley East: Adil Shamji

NDP:

Scarborough Southwest: Doly Begum
