ON October 14, members of Chetna Association, Ambedkarite International Coordination Society, and Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha (Vancouver) met Surrey Libraries board and staff and gifted $20,000 to Surrey Libraries in support of its various inclusive literacy and library programs.

Indian Consul Manjish Grover and Bruce Ralston, Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, also attended and shared their views on the contributions of Dr. Ambedkar and the value of quality and inclusive education.

Local artist, Jyotika Jasuja, sang ‘Pargati Ki Raah Dikhayee’, a song that praises Dr. Ambedkar for his contributions to emancipation of Women of India.
