ON Sunday, August 17 at 4:13 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a fire at a construction site located at 201 Street and Fraser Highway.

“Out of an abundance of caution, several neighbouring residential buildings were evacuated,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP. “We are working with the Langley City Fire Rescue on this incident and the investigation into the cause of this fire is ongoing.”

There are no reported injuries this time, and road closures are currently in effect in the area. The public is asked to avoid the scene until further notice.
