SURREY Police Service (SPS) is investigating a pedestrian-involved collision that occurred in the 7900-block of King George Boulevard on Monday that resulted in the pedestrian sustaining serious injuries.

On May 11 at approximately 3:05 p.m., a vehicle travelling northbound struck a pedestrian in the 7900-block of King George Boulevard. The pedestrian, an elderly male, was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained at the scene of the collision and is cooperating with the police investigation.

SPS Frontline members responded and the SPS Collision Investigation Unit was notified and has taken over the investigation. The investigation is in its early stages and is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
