WHITE Rock RCMP are investigating a shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning and requesting anyone with information to contact police.
On August 27, White Rock RCMP received a delayed report of shots fired at a residence located in the 15500-block of Pacific Avenue. Police located evidence consistent with a shooting. No injuries were reported.
The Lower Mainland Integrated Forensic Identification Services was called out and attended to process the scene.
Through canvassing, police determined that the shooting occurred in the early morning hours of August 27, between 3:15 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Investigators are conducting additional canvassing for video surveillance and speaking with witnesses.
Based on initial information this is believed to be a targeted incident related to extortion. White Rock RCMP is liaising with investigators from the Lower Mainland Joint Force Operation (JFO) as well as the RCMP National Coordination and Support Team, to determine if there is any nexus to other ongoing investigations.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or security video from the area between 3:15 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. to contact White Rock RCMP at (778) 545-4800.
