THE New Westminster Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 8 a.m. near 5th Avenue and Stewardson Way on Sunday.

Traffic has been rerouted and drivers are asked to avoid the area. BC Coroner and the Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Service have been notified.

“Police are in the early stages of this investigation,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “If you witnessed this collision or have dash-cam footage please reach out to police.”
