Fraser Health invites all childcare workers, school-based staff, first responders to book their immunization

FRASER Health has invited all licensed childcare workers, school-based staff, police and RCMP and fire departments in the region who have not yet received their COVID-19 vaccine to book their immunization appointments starting Wednesday. Fraser Health will complete immunizations of these priority groups over the next 10 days.

Fraser Health said in a statement: “We are reaching out to these groups directly today to share details and next steps. Now that we have substantially completed immunizations of school-based staff, police, and firefighters in all of our high-transmission neighbourhoods, today’s action to expedite immunizations of these groups in the remaining communities will ensure they receive immunization as quickly as possible, and is a follow-up to the communication we shared with them last week regarding their immunization schedule.”

All vaccines that are approved in Canada and available in British Columbia are safe and effective, and will help protect you against COVID-19. Vaccines have been shown to have a high level of protection against serious illness and death, and every vaccine that is administered makes us, our loved ones, and our communities all safer, said Fraser Health.
