WHEN the B.C. Government made a raft of public announcements last Saturday as never before, it was apparent that an election was sure to be held. Premier John Horgan has visited the Lieutenant Governor Janet Austin and will hold a news conference at 11 a.m. about an election – most likely to take place on October 24. A press release from the BC NDP said that Horgan “will address how British Columbians deserve a say in our economic recovery and will decide the future of our province.” Seven cabinet ministers have decided not to run: Claire Trevena, Judy Darcy, Michelle Mungall, Doug Donaldson, Shane Simpson, Scott Fraser and Carole James. |
