Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash’s Khalsa Sajna Diwas celebrations in Bellingham

GURDWARA Guru Nanak Parkash in Bellingham, Washington state, held their annual Khalsa Sajna Diwas celebrations last Sunday. The new gurdwara building was opened to the sangat for prayers for the first time. There is still lots of work to be done. The kitchen and the langar hall are in their final stages and should be ready within the next two months.  With the support of the community this small town has had such success in building this new gurdwara for the growing community. The old building had become too small for the large congregation and will be demolished.  The organizing volunteers thank everyone for taking part in the great celebration but especially to all the devoted Canadians who made this event a total success.  “We had a record crowd.  People filled all the nearby fields and the streets were full. We had great weather and many activities went on throughout the day.  Again, a very big thank you to our community.”
