Hamilton Police arrest Sukhraj Cheema-Singh who was wanted in connection to his father’s murder

ONTARIO’S Hamilton Police on Monday arrested 22-year-old Sukhraj Cheema-Singh, who was wanted for first-degree murder in the death of his father, in Toronto.

Around 7:42 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, Hamilton Police responded to a call at a residence in Stoney Creek, close to Trafalgar and Mud Street. There, they found 56-year-old Kuldip Singh from Stoney Creek suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Cheema-Singh fled the scene in a dark blue mid-size SUV, later identified as a blue 2022 Ford Edge with a Quebec licence plate. Hamilton Police arrested Cheema-Singh at 2:55 p.m. in the area of Dufferin Street and Eglington Avenue West. He was still driving the vehicle.
