A high-risk sex offender has been re-arrested by Vancouver Police and charged with an indecent act, after officers responded to reports of a man performing an indecent act in an East Vancouver neighbourhood on Wednesday.

Police were called shortly before 5 p.m. after a woman living near Woodland Drive and East Broadway reported a man performing an indecent act in a lane and looking into houses.

Responding officers located and arrested a 25-year-old suspect nearby.

Skylar Wayne Pelletier has now been charged with one count of indecent act.

Pelletier is a convicted sex offender who is currently serving a five-year long-term supervision order for convictions of sexual assault, assault, and break-and-enter.

He remains in custody.
