Hundreds of enthusiastic supporters attend Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke’s fundraising dinner

MORE than 800 supporters gathered at South 99 Winery in Surrey last weekend for a fundraising dinner in support of Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke, demonstrating strong community engagement ahead of the upcoming municipal election.
Among the guests in attendance were MP Sukh Dhaliwal and MLAs Harman Bhangu, Bryan Tepper and Linda Hepner, along with numerous community leaders, business representatives and other supporters from across Surrey.
Addressing the gathering, Locke outlined her vision for the future of the City of Surrey. She highlighted her administration’s commitment to fiscal responsibility, transparent governance, and continued investment in critical infrastructure to meet the needs of Surrey’s rapidly growing population. Locke emphasized that prudent financial management and responsible long-term planning remain central to her leadership.
Members of Surrey City Council, including Harry Bains, Rob Stutt, Pardeep Kooner and Gord Hepner, as well as Council candidates Rona Tepper and Noemi Victorino also addressed the audience. They spoke about the accomplishments of the current council and reaffirmed their commitment to building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Surrey.
The evening concluded with enthusiastic support from attendees, reflecting strong community interest in Mayor Locke’s vision for Surrey’s future and the priorities of her administration. The event was attended by South Asian community leaders Maninder Gill, Kulwant Dhesi, Parmjit Khosla, Boota Singh Dhillon, Balbir Padda, Manjit Singh Baughan, Baldev Bham and many more.
