Can you identify this white suspect in attempted bank robbery in Guildford?

SURREY RCMP are asking the public to assist in identifying a suspect in an attempted bank robbery that occurred this past May in Guildford.

On May 5, at 11:10 a.m., a man entered a bank in the 10400-block of 152nd Street.  The man then handed a teller a note demanding cash, but for some unknown reason quickly left the bank empty-handed.

Surrey RCMP’s Robbery Unit is leading this investigation.  Officers have obtained surveillance photos of the suspect. The suspect is described as a white male, late 20’s, 160 lbs., 5’4”, with blond hair. He was wearing black pants, clog style plastic shoes, a reflective vest, a zip up fleece jacket, and a white and black Nike baseball cap. The suspect also has a tattoo on the left side of his neck, and on his wrists and fingers.

“If you recognize this man, call your local police right away,” says Cpl. Scotty Schumann.  “Bank robberies are not victimless crimes, as, staff can be traumatized by these events.”
