IHIT investigating homicide in Coquitlam

ON Sunday, just after 12:40 a.m., Coquitlam RCMP received a report of a stabbing in the 3000-block of Glen Drive in Coquitlam.

Officers located an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound. Despite all efforts to revive the victim, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

While the investigation is still in the early stages, investigators confirm one person is in custody at this point.

“Although one person has been arrested, police continue to treat this investigation as active and ongoing to determine the circumstances,” said Cpl. Paige Kuz, Coquitlam RCMP Media Relations Officer.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and they are now conducting the investigation in partnership with the Coquitlam RCMP.
