Inderdeep Kaur Deo charged with accessory after the fact to murder in Bhavkiran Dhesi homicide

Bhavkiran Dhesi

MEDIA are reporting that Inderdeep Kaur Deo appeared in court on Saturday and was charged with accessory after the fact to murder in the Bhavkiran Dhesi homicide.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) had probably planned to make the announcement on Monday, but the media found out about it on Saturday.

On May 21, just after the Victoria Day long weekend, IHIT had announced that Manjit Kaur Deo, 53, the mother of 21-year-old Harjot Singh who had been charged with second-degree murder in the homicide of Dhesi, 19, had been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder in the case.

IHIT had also announced that the “investigation is still not over.”

Harjot Deo was arrested on May 10 at Vancouver International Airport by IHIT. Dhesi’s body was found inside a burnt vehicle at around 12:20 a.m. on August 2, 2017, in the 18700-block of 24th Avenue in Surrey.

Harjot Deo, who makes his next court appearance on May 27, had been in a romantic relationship with Dhesi and had become known to IHIT investigators fairly early in the investigation.
