THE RCMP said on Monday that the BC Prosecution Services (BCPS) has approved charges against Jarrod Bacon, 41, and John Chasse, 41, in connection to a shooting that sent one person to hospital on last week on Wednesday, January 29.
Bacon has been charged with aggravated assault and Chasse has been charged with assault. Both men have been remanded in custody.
The two were arrested in relation to a shooting incident in front of a local business in the area of the 5000-block of 51st Avenue West on the evening of January 29.
One of the two was arrested following a traffic stop on the evening of January 31. Later that evening, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 4600-block of 49th Avenue in Fort Nelson by the North District RCMP Emergency Response Team and the second man was arrested in connection to the shooting.
