VANCOUVER Police have identified the man who was killed in a homicide on August 4 on Granville Street, and are renewing appeals for anyone with information to contact police.
“We are still working to determine what the motive was for this murder,” said Constable Tania Visintin on Tuesday. “Granville Street has a lot of vehicle, bike, and pedestrian traffic at all hours of the day. We believe there may be witnesses or people with video who have important information that could help us solve this crime.”
Jose Kaze, a 32-year-old Surrey resident, was stabbed near Granville and Smithe streets just before 3:30 a.m. on August 4. He was taken to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
No arrests have been made and VPD’s homicide detectives continue to investigate.
Anyone with cell phone or dash-cam video on August 4 between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., is asked to call investigators at 604-717-2500.
