Justin Wareing charged in Maple Ridge murder of Arthur Comeau

THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) announced on Friday that 31-year old Justin Wareing of Maple Ridge was charged with second-degree murder on June 8 in relation to the murder of 41-year-old Arthur Comeau of Maple Ridge.

On April 28, 2022, Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the 12300-block of Carlton Street in Maple Ridge. Frontline police officers located Comeau suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, Comeau was pronounced deceased on scene.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation and worked closely in partnership with the Ridge Meadows RCMP, the BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS).

The investigation identified Wareing as a suspect in the homicide and on June 8, he was charged with second-degree murder.
