KABOOM Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts’ huge success last Sunday (November 23) at Apex Martial Arts in Richmond, making their head coach Kabir Bath beam with great pride.

Eleven competitors, some as young as only four years old, entered the “Kids Invitational Roots BJJ Gi and No Gi Tournament” and brought home a total of 16 medals.

Three of the students earned double gold, winning both the Gi and No Gi divisions in their weight and belt level. Voted the number one martial arts studio in Surrey and Delta two years in a row, Kabir and his staff told The VOICE they are determined to bring martial arts to the lives of as many children as possible.

The Kaboom team won a total of 8 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 4 bronze.
