Khalsa Credit Union (KCU) is re-locating its Abbotsford branch to attractive new premises situated at 32112 South Fraser Way and plans to be open for business by Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Originally opened in early 1989 as the third of its five branches, the Abbotsford office of KCU has occupied a site on Clearbrook Road for many years and had clearly outgrown that location.
“We have been searching for a more prominent location and larger facility in this vibrant community for several years now”, said Chief Executive Officer Dalbir Singh Sohi. “When this opportunity was made available to KCU, we jumped at it real quick as it is more centrally located for the convenience of members and allows us to configure the space in a much more efficient and serviceable manner.”
Senior Manager Dalbir Singh Mehta revealed that the 3500 square foot branch has all the modern design elements and service features including a “ding free” automatic teller machine, digital display screens, pin pads and a state-of-the-art computer system. There is also ample parking for members.
There will be an official Dedication Ceremony at the branch on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 commencing at 10:00 AM. Branch Manager Maninderjit Kaur Grewal and her seven employees will be meeting and greeting members and the public at this event and are looking forward to opening the doors on Tuesday Sept 24, 2013. The branch will open with extended hours from Tue to Fri 10.00AM to 8.00PM and Sat 10.00 AM to 5.00PM.
KCU is a full service credit union with 13,000 members spread over five locations (Abbotsford, Vancouver, and Surrey, Victoria) and has assets approaching $300 million.
