LOUGHEED Highway between Nelson Street and Oliver Street has now re-opened in both directions in Mission. It was closed due to a collision that occurred on Thursday around 11:30 a.m.

Mission RCMP said that early indications are that a vehicle hydroplaned and struck another vehicle in the oncoming lane. A female was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service is investigating the collision.

Lougheed Highway re-opened around 6 p.m.
