Main Street collision in Vancouver injures 5 people

VANCOUVER Police are investigating a collision that sent a car crashing into a storefront and resulted in injuries to five people.

The two-car collision occurred around 12:40 p.m. on Friday, October 17 on Main Street and East 48 Avenue, as a driver attempted to cross multiple lanes of traffic and was struck by an oncoming car. The impact caused one of the cars to strike a building with several people inside.

Five people, including the drivers of both vehicles, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received medical attention.

Police believe driver-error was a contributing factor in the collision.
