AT approximately at 9:23 p.m. on Friday, January 14, Coquitlam RCMP responded to calls of a reported shooting in the 1000-block of Austin Avenue. Officers located a male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital in serious condition.

Police said no arrests have been made. The initial indications are that this shooting was targeted. The victim is known to police and it is unclear if there are connections to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
