ON Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 5:45 p.m., frontline Richmond RCMP responded to the 8000-block of Milner Road to reports of a shooting. A critically injured man was located by police. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced deceased on scene. The area has been cordoned off as police investigate.
Approximately 10 minutes later, a vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames in the 12000-block of Blundell Road. Police are working to determine if this vehicle is associated to the shooting.
If anyone was in the area of the 8000-block of Milner Road or the 12000-block of Blundell Road between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., they are asked to contact police.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has assumed conduct of the investigation.
