ON Friday, November 28 at approximately 11:40 p.m., Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) frontline officers responded to calls of a shooting near the 10400-block of 152 Street.

Officers located a male suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite life-saving measures, one man succumbed to his injuries at scene.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken conduct of this investigation. This is Surrey’s sixth homicide of 2025

The investigation is in the early stages and IHIT is working in partnership with Surrey Police Service and RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit officers to complete priority tasks.

While the motive is still under investigation, the incident does not appear to be random in nature or related to the ongoing series of extortions in Surrey.
