SURREY RCMP announced on Friday that a man was injured in a shooting in the Whalley area on Thursday evening.
On July 25 at approximately 4:50 p.m., police responded to a report of an injured man in the 10800-block of 139A Street. Police located the man, who had apparently been shot in the leg, and he was subsequently transported to hospital. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The Surrey RCMP’s General Investigation Unit is continuing the investigation. The preliminary information indicates that this was not a random incident and involved parties are known to one another.
Police are still in the evidence gathering stage of the investigation.
