VANCOUVER Police say that a man was shot in the chest on Saturday with a crossbow and seriously injured in the Downtown Eastside.

His attacker fled, and police officers are at the scene gathering evidence. The victim was rushed to hospital.

“At this point, we believe the victim was targeted. Our investigation is centred around the encampment at Carrall and Hastings,” said police.
